Olive oils · from Anatolia to Canada

Good oil does not hurry.

Afnatolia is a Montréal-based olive oil brand connecting Türkiye’s Aegean olive-growing tradition with Canadian tables. Our oils are carefully selected and produced for Afnatolia by experienced Turkish production partners.

Our story

From Anatolia, with patience.

Afnatolia was founded with a simple purpose: to make carefully selected Turkish olive oil more accessible to Canadian homes, restaurants and specialty stores.

Türkiye has a rich olive-growing tradition, but many of its distinctive oils remain unfamiliar in Canada. Afnatolia was created to help bridge that distance through direct producer relationships, transparent sourcing and a commitment to offering olive oil worthy of Canadian tables.

The founder

Meet the founder.

Living in Türkiye for several years gave me the opportunity to work, manage business operations and build relationships with suppliers and clients across different markets. Outside of work, I experienced how olive oil is woven into everyday life — served at breakfast, offered to guests and shared during meals with family and friends.

Making Montréal my home, I bring my knowledge (MBA and MSc in management) and practical experience in management, logistics and finance to Afnatolia. I work directly with our production partner and oversee product selection, import planning and relationships in Canada. My goal is to build a trusted brand through transparent sourcing and reliable partnerships — one trusted relationship and one Canadian table at a time.

The process

From grove to bottle.

These photographs offer a closer look at the groves, harvest and mill behind the olive oils selected for Afnatolia.

01

The groves

The olive groves are located near Türkiye’s Aegean coast, where warm, dry summers and mild winters provide favourable conditions for olive cultivation.

02
Fresh olives collected on yellow nets under the trees

Harvesting

During the harvest, nets are placed beneath the trees and suitable tools are used to collect the olives carefully while limiting damage to the fruit.

03
Shallow crates filled with fresh green and purple olives

Transport to the mill

After harvesting, the olives are placed in ventilated crates and transported promptly to the mill to help preserve their freshness before extraction.

04

Cold extraction

At the mill, the olives are cleaned and crushed, and the oil is extracted mechanically at controlled temperatures to help preserve its natural aroma and flavour.

Storage and packaging

After extraction, the oil is stored in stainless-steel tanks under controlled conditions, then packaged in dark glass bottles or tins to protect it from light and air.

We did not invent anything. We just do not skip any step.
